MobileActive App Developers: Google Android Developer Challenge Submission Form Now Available

The submission form for the first Android Developer Challenge is now available. As you recall, Android is the new Google mobile platform. The developer challenge will provide $10 million in total in awards -- no strings attached -- for great mobile apps built on the Android platform.

In the Android Developer Challenge I, the fifty most promising entries received by March 3 will each receive a $25,000 award to fund further development. Those selected will then be eligible for even greater recognition via ten $275,000 awards and ten $100,000 awards. Google is specifically interested in applications that benefit the 'social mobile' field, including humanitarian benefits and applications in service of global economic development.

For more information, read the Andoid blog. The actual application page is here.

The all-important Terms and Conditions are here.

When you go to the submission page, you'll be asked to choose the correct form based on whether you are an individual developer, a team, or representing a company. Choose the correct link, fill out the form, and submit! If you want or need to resubmit your application, you can feel free to do so up until the March 3rd final deadline.
