LUUP

Contopronto is the company behind LUUP. We are a privately owned Norwegian company with operations in Norway, Germany, Poland and the UK. The LUUP mobile payment solution was first launched in Norway in July 2002 under the Contopronto name, and has now been implemented by a wide range of web-merchants, mobile content merchants, Telco’s and high street merchants.

Our vision is to build LUUP into the number one payment alternative in Europe, providing new purchasing freedom for consumers - both online and via the mobile phone. We aim to provide our business partners with a great new financial service and payment option for their customers.

Contopronto is a financially regulated institution with one of the first pan-European E-money licenses to be issued under the European Union E-money Directive, making us fully compliant with money laundering regulations and suspicious activity reporting requirements in all of our countries of operation. Contopronto is authorised and regulated by the Norwegian Kredittilsynet, the UK Financial Services Authority, and the German Bundesamt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht.

Within Europe, LUUP is currently operating in the UK, Germany, Norway and Poland, with plans to expand further across the EU within the next 12 months. LUUP has also launched in the Middle East and China and will open in other regions globally in the near future.
